With summer weather fast approaching, here is a sweet date shake recipe that will leave you refreshed and happy!
- 1/2 cup of chopped, pitted dates
- 1/2 cup cold milk
- 1/4 teaspoon of nutmeg
- 1 cup vanilla ice cream
Use Medjool dates for the best result. They are easiest to blend due to their delicate skin. Blend the dates and milk together until smooth. Then, add vanilla ice cream and freshly grated nutmeg, and blend mixture until all chunks are gone.
If the shake is too thick, you can add a handful of small ice cubes. Before serving, add a pinch of ground cinnamon and a dollop of whipped cream for extra sweetness.
